Card payment through Paddle, merchant of record. Your licence key and kit download arrive by email on payment. Reamer Research bought here is licensed to the one person whose email you check out with (LICENSE.txt, Section 2A). A key issued for one product does not activate the other. A machine running both products holds one seat of each. Paying by bank transfer? Pay an annual licence by invoice.
Pay by invoice
Annual licences. Paddle emails the invoice within minutes, payable within 14 days by bank transfer, or by card or another method through its payment link. Keys and the kit link arrive by email when payment clears. Trials are card checkout only.
What a seat is
One seat is one product on one machine. Activation writes a single file on that machine that both products read, but each product still holds its own seat: running Server and Research on the same machine uses one seat of Server and one seat of Research, not one seat shared. Activation runs offline and stays local. To move a seat, deactivate on one host and activate on another. Full seat policy ships in LICENSING.md.
When a term ends
A live instance started under a valid licence keeps trading past its expiry. Expiry never halts a running process.
Starting a new process needs a current licence. The server logs escalating license.expiring warnings before the date and a license.expired diagnostic after. Renewal is a new purchase, made when you choose, and ships the latest release. Interim updates on email request.
